
A Tilbury man is up on charges following a strange altercation at the hospital in Chatham.
Police were called about 3:25 a.m. Tuesday morning for a disturbance at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Grand Avenue West.
Officers arrived and spotted a man lying on the floor, refusing to leave. When the officers went to take the man into custody, police say he resisted and hit one of the officers in the face.
The officer wasn’t injured.
A 30-year-old Tilbury man is charged with assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.
