The Kent Agricultural Hall of Fame Association is a body that recognizes those individuals who have demonstrated unselfish achievement within the realm of agriculture and service to the rural community of Chatham-Kent and beyond.
If you know someone – a family member, friend, neighbour, co-worker, living or deceased – whom you feel has met this standard over their lifetime or career, the Kent Agricultural Hall of Fame board of directors wants to hear from you. The board is asking the public to submit nominations for Hall-of-Fame-worthy citizens of Chatham-Kent.
The submission deadline for nominations is March 31. Those nominations received by that date will receive consideration by the board at its spring meeting, with successful nominees being recognized at an induction ceremony, typically held in November.
Nominations submitted after the cut-off date will be considered the following year.
To date, 212 of Kent County’s most accomplished individuals in the agricultural community – including primary production, extension and research, education, government, business and stewardship – have been recognized.
For more information, and a copy of the nomination form, visit www.chatham-kent.ca/aghof or contact Kathryn Vanek at 519-683-2929 or email jvanek@ciacces.com before March 31.
