Utility company Entegrus delivered a pair of early Christmas presents recently.

The Foundation of the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent and the Blenheim Youth Centre were the recipients.

The treatment centre foundation received $200,000 in support of its new and expanded facility under construction on McNaughton Avenue West in Chatham.

“Our organization has proudly supported the Children’s Treatment Centre for many years,” said Jim Hogan, president and CEO of Entegrus, in a media release. “This donation reflects our continued belief in their mission, and we’re proud to support a facility that will serve our community for generations to come.”

Mike Genge, president & CEO of the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent, said the contribution is appreciated.

“We are deeply grateful to Entegrus for their longstanding partnership and generous support,” he said. “This $200,000 donation plays a vital role in helping us complete a space designed to meet the growing needs of the Centre.”

The Blenheim Youth Centre received a $10,000 boost from Entegrus and shareholder Corix District Energy Holdings.

“Both Entegrus and Corix believe that strong communities start with strong youth,” Hogan said. “The Blenheim Youth Centre provides a safe and supportive space where young people grow, connect, and thrive. We’re proud of the opportunity to support their ongoing work.”

The $10,000 contribution highlights Entegrus’ and Corix’s shared commitment to community partnership and supporting programs that make a positive difference across the region.

“We are grateful for this generous support from Entegrus and Corix,” said Jen Acampora, executive director of the Blenheim Youth Centre. “This funding will directly support our mission to provide a safe and fun environment for the youth of Blenheim and surrounding areas that enriches their overall health and well-being.”
