Beer-can assault

A Wallaceburg man faces charges after someone reportedly threw a beer can at a woman Monday evening.

Police say it was a case of domestic violence and it took place shortly before 7 p.m. on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg.

Witnesses told police a man and woman were arguing in a parking lot when the man tossed a can of beer at the woman.

Inside a nearby vehicle was a young child, police say.

A 21-year-old Wallaceburg man is charged with assault with a weapon.

Police say officers located the child, who was assessed and found to be unharmed.

Stolen ATV

Do you know anyone who is bragging about having a new (to them) red Honda ATV?

It might be hot.

Police are investigating a break in that took place within the past seven days at a barn on a property near Tilbury.

Someone forced their way into the barn and made off with the ATV.

Police say the ATV had a sprayer attached to the rear of it.

If you have seen this ATV or have any information that may assist investigators, police ask that you call 519-436-6600 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-Tips.
