
A Chatham man faces multiple charges after what appears to be an incident of road rage the ended with an intentional collision.
Or two.
On Thursday evening, about 8:15 p.m., police received a report of a collision on St. Clair Street.
A 21-year-old male driver from Thamesville reported being chased by a vehicle in connection to a prior dispute. During the incident, the suspect’s vehicles rear-ended the complainant’s before pulling alongside and forcing it off the roadway, police say.
The complainant’s vehicle sustained damage. Additional medical assistance was not required.
The suspect fled Chatham-Kent and entered Lambton County.
Officers were able to track one of the individuals police say was involved, a 19-year-old Chatham man, with the assistance from OPP.
The OPP notified the Chatham-Kent Police Service that they had located the suspect at a gas station in Bridgen.
As a result of the investigation, the individual was arrested and charged with uttering threats, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, assault with a weapon, failing to remain and failing to report.
