Erratic driving leads to impaired charge

A Chatham man will have his day in court to answer to impaired driving charges following a Saturday evening traffic stop in Chatham.

Police received a report of a vehicle swerving and changing speeds erratically on Queen Street about 8:20 p.m. Officers responded and pulled over the vehicle.

A roadside test was administered and police say the driver failed.

Breath samples provided back at police headquarters also registered as fails.

As a result, a 39-year-old Chatham man is charged with impaired driving.
