A Tuesday evening fire on Eighth Line left one horse dead.
The fire, first reported about 8:50 p.m. at 7544 Eighth Line, was fully involved when the first firefighters arrived on scene, officials said.
With a report of livestock still inside the barn, firefighters, with the help of a tanker truck, were able to bring the fire under control.
Officials say the livestock were confirmed safe in the pasture beside the barn. However, a horse died in the fire.
Loss is estimated at $400,000 and the cause had been deemed accidental.
