Dr. Erin TeWinkel ND, left, and Randi Bokor Caron were the inspiration behind the inaugural SheLeads event last year. It is set to return in early July. SheLeads is designed to bring together local female leaders and the community for an empowering experience for women in Chatham-Kent.

Building on its inaugural success, SheLeads Chatham-Kent is heading into its second year.

The day-long event, designed to uplift, empower and educate attendees, will be held at the Capitol Theatre July 6.

This year’s event will feature 18 new workshops, as well as dynamic panel discussion featuring women-identifying folks who will speak to the power of serving the community of Chatham-Kent. A fashion show will cap off the event.

According to co-founder Randi Bokor-Caron, 200 people took part in the 2023 forum.

“We had an empowering and inspiring day and knew we’d be back again this year,” said Bokor-Caron, noting the team has been working hard putting together’s this year’s event.

“We think July 6 is going to be a special day.”

The made-in-CK movement is inspiring others, leading to the first SheLeads Georgian Bay held in May. Danielle and Alexis Northcott launched a similar event in Midland after attending Chatham-Kent’s sold-out event in 2023.
