Tragedy struck Saturday night near Charing Cross when two people perished when hit by a passing vehicle.
Shortly after 7 p.m., a northbound vehicle hit the two pedestrians, women aged 66 and 68, at the intersection of Charing Cross Road and Horton Line.
Emergency personnel attempted life-saving measures but both women succumbed to their injuries. A post-mortem examination has been scheduled.
