A violent Christmas

At 1:27 p.m. on Boxing Day, Chatham-Kent police began an assault investigation that occurred at an apartment on Talbot Street in Blenheim.

Officers learned on Dec. 22, an argument between the man and the woman escalated into a physical altercation, police say

A 43-year-old Chatham-Kent man was located and arrested. He was charged with assault and uttering threats.

Door-kicking youth nabbed 

On Oct. 3, police began a mischief investigation on Delaware Avenue in Chatham. Surveillance footage showed a youth attending the residence on Oct. 1 p.m. and kicking the door before running away. 

Officers were able to identify the youth from a recent encounter. Officers confirmed the youth was on a curfew condition prohibiting him from being outside of his Blenheim residence between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Police arrested a 14-year-old Blenheim youth and charged him with mischief and failing to comply with undertaking.

Warrant arrest

At 9:40 p.m. on Boxing Day, police responded to Grand Avenue East in Chatham for a disturbance.

Upon arrival, officers located the man and confirmed he was wanted on an outstanding warrant. 

A 54-year-old Chatham-Kent man faces the following charges: unlawfully in a dwelling, theft and possession of stolen property.
