Local musicians will plug in and play to help raise funds, food and hope as part of the Holiday Jam for Hunger on Dec. 29.
Son of Kent hosts the event. All proceeds will go towards Hope House – Mental Health Network of Chatham-Kent and Chatham Outreach for Hunger.
This musical tradition started in 2004 and has continued every year since, including two pandemic induced online versions in 2020 and 2021.
For the past dozen years, Alysson Storey has been the lead organizer.
“All of the participating musicians have strong connections to Chatham-Kent and generously share their talents to benefit Chatham-Kent organizations. It’s thanks to them the annual Holiday Jam for Hunger shows have raised close to $30,000 for local charities,” she said in a media release. “The need is stronger than ever, so I’m very grateful for the continued community support.”
On the bill this year are the Dave Trinca Xperience, Level Up and Cole Pereira.
Sons of Kent Brewing and an anonymous donor are sponsoring this year’s event.
The event starts at 7 p.m., and admission is by donation, with all proceeds from the event going towards Hope House – Mental Health Network of Chatham-Kent and Chatham-Kent Outreach for Hunger.
