Threats made, arrest follows

Two Blenheim folks face charges following a family altercation Tuesday.

Chatham-Kent police received a call of a male party attending his father’s residence, and was no longer wanted there.

Police say the male threatened his father during a verbal argument before leaving.

Upon locating the accused, police learned the accused was also at a residence with a female party that he was to have no contact with, according to previous release conditions.

A 40-year-old Blenheim man was arrested for one count of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and two counts of failing to comply with release order. The accused was taken into police custody and transported to headquarters where he has been held for bail.

Subsequently, a 39-year-old Blenheim woman was arrested for facilitating breach of undertaking,

Skipped court date

Chatham-Kent police officers located a woman wanted for missing her court date in relation to a July theft.

Officers located the woman on Grand Avenue West in Chatham about 10 a.m. Tuesday.

A 31-year-old Chatham female was arrested for failing to attend court. She was then transported to CKPS headquarters and remanded to custody.

Compliance concerns

A Wallaceburg man is back behind bars after police say he was not adhering to his release conditions recently.

In July, police arrested the accused in relation to an aggravated assault. The male was released with conditions not to associate with specific parties amongst other conditions and a future court date.

On Monday, police received information that the male was not abiding by these conditions and contacted a party by way of text message that he was not to be communicating with. Through investigation, police confirmed this information to be accurate.

The next day, about 12:30 p.m., police learned the man was spotted walking on James Street in Wallaceburg.

Police arrived in the area and located the man. Officers confirmed the man was wanted on outstanding warrants for failing to comply with a previous release order.

A 19-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and transported to police headquarters and remanded to custody.
