Look for 10 days of driving discomfort starting next week in Wallaceburg.

Municipal officials said the intersection of McNaughton Avenue and Dufferin Avenue will be closed from Sept. 7 to Sept. 15, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.

This is to allow for the replacement of infrastructure in the intersection. The work includes the replacement of the existing watermain and traffic signals.

The posted detour for Highway 40 traffic will include the use of Base Line, Old Glass Road, Mason Street and Arnold Street.

Two lanes of traffic on Dufferin Avenue will remain open from Walnut

Access to all properties and businesses on Dufferin Avenue will be maintained at all times.

Roadwork on Dufferin Avenue from McNaughton Avenue to Walnut Drive is expected to be completed in 2023, with restoration to be completed in Spring 2024.
