The Chatham-Kent Public Library’s Literary Angels program recently received a special boost from Holy Trinity/St. Paul’s Anglican Church in the form of a $1,908 donation.

The church community raised the money as part of a Lenten fundraiser to remember fellow parishioners who have passed on.

Presenting the cheque to CKPL chief librarian Tania Sharpe, right, is event organizer Sharon Jackson and church warden Heather Kingdom.

The money will be used to purchase a wide assortment of fiction and non-fiction books for adults and children. A book plate honouring the name of a parishioner will be placed in each of the books purchased.
