Code Grey Declared Over

UPDATE:

CKHA is pleased to share that the Code Grey at the Chatham Site has now been officially declared over.

The flush test of the building’s water system was completed earlier today and the results were clear which indicate we can safely resume use of the water supply. The water supply is safe to resume for drinking.

All services and programs continue to be in full operation, including the Emergency Department. The safety of patients, visitors, staff, physicians and volunteers remains the priority.

EARLIER REPORTED:

Officials of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance have called a code grey due to water quality concern at the Grand Avenue campus.
Patients, volunteers and staff are being provided with bottled water.
Earlier today the water supply at site and surrounding area was shut off due to work
performed by the municipality.
All services and programs continue to be in full operation, including the Emergency
Department.
The safety of patients, visitors, staff, physicians and volunteers remains the priority.
Further updates will be provided as the situation progresses.
CKHA is reminding the community that the hospital remains a safe place to receive
care. If you are experiencing an emergent acute care need, please do not hesitate to
dial 911 or visit your nearest Emergency Department.

  1. Wonder why the piece buried on page 9 about Covid being “over” isn’t in your online version?
    Same reason as the pro-convoy letter ?
