Brick chucked through window

A Chatham woman faces mischief charges after someone threw a brick through a window Sunday morning in Chatham.

Shortly after 7:30 a.m., Chatham-Kent police attended a residence on Princess Street in Chatham.

Officers learned a woman sent a brick through the home’s kitchen window.

Police say the woman was also bound by conditions to not attend the address.

The suspect fled the area before officers arrived, but police say they caught up to her a few hours later.

A 22-year-old Chatham-Kent woman is charged with mischief and failing to comply with an undertaking. She was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.

Bail violations

In another Sunday morning incident, police say officers caught up to a woman wanted for a bail violation.

About the same time officers were on Princess Street, additional officers responded to Blythwood Crescent in Chatham.

Through investigation, police learned the woman was bound by two release orders not to attend the address. The woman left the area before the police arrived.

At 8:41 a.m., the 48-year-old Chatham woman was located and arrested. She was charged with failing to comply with the release order and failing to comply with an undertaking. She was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.

A Raleigh Township man has to answer to allegations he showed up where he wasn’t supposed to be recently.

Police say the man was released from court with conditions, including to not be near a specific list of people.

On Sunday at 6:30 p.m., police began an investigation into a bail violation. Information was received the man attended the residence of a person listed in his conditions. Through investigation, the breach was confirmed.

A 26-year-old Raleigh Township man turned himself in to the police. He was charged with failing to comply with the release order and held pending a bail hearing.
