Robbery

Around 6 a.m. yesterday morning, a man attended the lobby of a local hotel and pushed an employee while stealing food and drinks.

The woman was not physically injured.

Officers located the suspect a short distance away and he was arrested.

A 25-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with robbery and held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Woman charged with assault

Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a disturbance at a grocery store in Chatham.

Through investigation, police learned that the woman assaulted another shopper for not following the arrows on the floor and respecting social distancing rules.

Once outside, police say the woman noticed the victim was taking a photo of her vehicle and pushed a grocery cart towards her.

Britney Brideau, 29, of Chatham, was arrested and charged with assault and assault with a weapon.

Man charged with assault

Yesterday, police responded to the report of a man and woman arguing outside.

Through investigation, police learned that the man assaulted the woman.

A 39-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with assault.

Domestic charges

Last night, police responded to a disturbance at an apartment in Wallaceburg between a man and his ex-wife.

Through investigation, police learned that a verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation and that this was not the first incident of domestic violence between the pair.

The 59-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with forcible confinement, two counts of uttering threats and two counts of assault.

Assault

Last night, police responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Tilbury.

A 21-year-old Belle River man was arrested and charged with assaulting his girlfriend.

Road rage

Last night, the man was driving behind another vehicle on Gregory Drive in Chatham.

The man began honking his horn as the vehicle was driving slowly.

As the vehicle pulled into a driveway, the man stopped and police say he assaulted the driver.

The man returned to his vehicle and fled the area.

Through investigation, police identified the man they believe was responsible and he was arrested.

Toni Parker, 24, of Chatham, has been charged with assault.

Trailer stolen

Sometime between Wednesday at 6 p.m. and Thursday at 7 a.m., someone forced their way into a locked compound at RONA at Colborne Street causing about $150 damage.

Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a 2018 Stirling 60-084-TTL silver flatbed trailer.

The trailer was not plated.

Total value of the theft has been estimated at $1,800.

Warrants

Yesterday morning, police located a woman in Chatham who was wanted for fraud related offences and failing to attend court.

Tasha Vantomme, 26, of Wallaceburg, was arrested.

Early this morning, police responded to a disturbance in Wallaceburg. Through investigation, police located a man who was wanted for breaching his Probation Order.

Dennis Logan, 54, of Wallaceburg, was arrested and released pending a future court date.
