Community Living Wallaceburg confirmed on Friday afternoon that the 10th positive COVID-19 case was contracted by one of their employees.

In addition, there is a second employee, who is also a Chatham-Kent resident, that is presumptive-positive meaning they are showing symptoms but their test results have not yet come in.

“We are doing as everyone does. The people who were in close contact are now in self-quarantine for 14 days. We are following strict protocols in regards to disinfectant and wearing full PPE (personal protective equipment) for the duration of this,” said Deborah Hook, executive director, Community Living Wallaceburg.

Hook said they will be in close communication with Public Health everyday.
