Chatham-Kent has its 10th case of COVID-19.

As of 12:30 p.m. Friday, CK Public Health announced on its website the 10th case is that of a woman in her 30s.

She’s self-isolating at home at this time.

According to CK Public Health, it’s unknown yet if the case is one of travel, close contact or community.

This follows the announcement of our ninth case, a woman in her 20s, a day earlier. That was a case of close contact, and the woman is also in self-isolation.

A week ago, there were four reported cases in C-K, and a week prior, there were just two.

On Friday afternoon, the Government of Ontario released its worst-case scenario projections.

By the end of April, if current public health measures remain in place and are upheld by the public, there will be 1,600 COVID-related deaths and 80,000 cases.

Worst-case scenario, the province could see up to 6,000 deaths by the end of the month and 100,000 deaths in total, without the public’s co-operation.
