The municipality is shutting down its services centres for now.

Municipal centres in Blenheim, Chatham (Civic Centre and ServiceOntario), Dresden (including ServiceOntario), Ridgetown, Tilbury and Wallaceburg; Municipal Information Desks in Bothwell, Thamesville and Wheatley; and the Park Avenue Business Centre in Chatham will be closed to the public until further notice.

Effective immediately and until further notice, customers requesting urgent municipal services or information are required to call 519-360-1998 or e-mail ckinfo@chatham-kent.ca for priority triage and appointments at the Chatham Municipal Centre (Civic Centre) and the Chatham ServiceOntario office. Only a few essential services will be deemed urgent and scheduled for in-person appointments.

For inquiries regarding phone payments for permits, dog tag licenses or for information about services available online, please call 519-360-1998 or email ckinfo@chatham-kent.ca. Municipal officials said will continue to provide service updates on social media and the municipal website www.chatham-kent.ca.

The municipal call centre continues to operate normal business hours from Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Customers that pre-schedule an appointment to access urgent services at the Civic Centre or Chatham ServiceOntario, can expect to receive screening at the entrance of the facilities upon arrival. The screening process will include a few questions pertaining to recent travel, current health symptoms, and quarantine directives to determine whether the municipal team can provide you in-person services.

The implementation of this process is to increase safety measures for municipal employees and to visitors and customers. If attending an appointment at one of the two facilities, please ensure to practise social distancing of the minimum two metres from one another.

The municipality continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely, taking direction from Provincial and Federal public health officials and C-K Medical Officer of Health, Dr. David Colby.
