A couple of break-ins of note recently, according to Chatham-Kent police.

Sometime between Tuesday at 5 p.m. and yesterday at 7 a.m., someone forced their way into a home under construction on Riverview Line and stole approximately $8,000 worth of tools and building supplies.

Also, between Tuesday and Wednesday, someone got into unlocked outbuildings on a property on Charing Cross Road in the Charing Cross area. Miscellaneous tools were taken with a value $800.
