A 59-year-old Chatham man is dead after being hit by a vehicle Tuesday morning in west Chatham.
Chatham-Kent police say the tragedy took place shortly before 8:30 a.m. on Grand Avenue near Keil Drive, as a westbound vehicle struck the man who had entered the roadway.
EMS personnel took the man to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
