Although the signage out front still reads “St. Clair College Capitol Theatre,” the college walked away from operating the Capitol in Chatham earlier this year, and now the municipality discarded two outside offerings and will run it on its own.

The highly acclaimed one-man show by Chase Padgett (guitarist, stand-up comedian, actor and storyteller) has been picked up by Toronto’s Mirvish Productions for a one-week run in March 2020 and Chatham will get a sneak preview Oct. 19 at the Capitol Theatre.

In Six Guitars, Padgett portrays six unique guitar players sharing the stories and songs that defined their musical lives, from blues and jazz to classical and beyond.

Padgett’s guitar skills are matched only by his stage presence and comic timing, as each character, from the young rock prodigy to the weary blues picker, shares stories – some hilarious, some heartbreaking – from their lives on the road.

The show begins at 8 p.m. Visit www.cktickets.com for more information and to purchase tickets. To get a brief look at Six Guitars, check out the main trailer at https://vimeo.com/304672957
