Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) announced it has added a new Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) specialist, Dr. Diana Khalil to the organization.
Khalil has joined CKHA in the Department of Surgery with privileges in Otolaryngology (ENT) and is now accepting physician referrals.
“Dr. Khalil is an excellent addition to CKHA and will assist us in meeting the needs of our patients and our community,” said Dr. Pervez Faruqi, Chief of Staff, said in a media release. “Her training and skills are a great addition to our medical community and will help us deliver specialized services, reducing the need for our patients to travel outside of Chatham-Kent.”
In her role at CKHA, Khalil will be covering paediatric and adult ENT and has a special interest in Head and Neck Surgery including neck masses, cutaneous malignancies throughout the body, melanoma with sentinel lymph node biopsies, endocrine and salivary gland diseases, nasal and sinus disease, and paediatric Otolaryngology.
Khalil received her Doctor of Medicine from the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine, McMaster University in 2011 and completed her Residency training at the University of Manitoba, Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery in 2016. Following her Residency, she received Fellowship training in Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Ottawa and at Auckland City Hospital in New Zealand. Most recently, Khalil worked in the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Southlake Regional Hospital in Newmarket.
“Practicing at CKHA seemed like the perfect fit for me with its professional staff and community atmosphere,” said Khalil. “I’m looking forward to being part of the team here and joining the community of Chatham-Kent.”
Patient referrals are now being accepted by Khalil. Her office is co-located with Nadine Yammine, Otolaryngology/Larngology at 336A King Street West in Chatham and can be reached by phone at 519.397.1721 or fax at 519.397.3687.
