Representatives from TekSavvy Solutions Inc. donated $100,000 to the Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) recently in support of the $6.9 million Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign.

This donation comes on the heels of the Foundation of CKHA’s announcement that $1 million is needed by May 28 to complete the campaign.

“This donation is supporting equipment that will advance information sharing to physicians for quicker and more accurate diagnosis, “ says Spencer Antaya, Strategic Partnerships & Sponsorships Manager for TekSavvy, in a media release. “We are investing in equipment that will serve the community where many of our employees and our customers live.”

Launched in 2014, the foundation’s $6.9 million Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign is raising funds in support of 17 new pieces of equipment for CKHA’s Chatham and Wallaceburg hospital sites. To date, 13 new ultrasounds, a bone densitometer, and a new digital mammography machine have been installed through the funds raised by the community. The remaining funds will support the purchase of an urgently needed CT Scan.

“We are thrilled to announce this exciting partnership with TekSavvy Solutions Inc. that brings us $100,000 closer to reach our completion goal,” says Mary Lou Crowley, Executive Director of the foundation. “With only two months remaining in our fundraising efforts, this donation will have a significant impact on local healthcare for our community.”
