Adam Lally, left, of Victory Ford, title sponsor of the event, and John Lawrence, chair of the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation, spent some time on recently unpacking supplies for the Changing Moments, Changing Lives Gala, which takes place Oct. 27.

Staff and volunteers are hard at work on the second annual Changing Moments, Changing Lives Hospice Foundation Gala happening Oct. 27 at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre in Chatham.

The theme, Changing Moments, Changing Lives reflects the mission of the Hospice. “With hospice care now available in our community, we are helping change how people experience the end-of-life. At Chatham-Kent Hospice we help our residents and families embrace each day. And thanks to important fundraising events like the Gala, we can continue to do that,” John Lawrence, Chair of the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation, said in a release.

Guests attending the gala this year will enjoy a multi-course gourmet meal, a surprise artistic event unfolding during the evening and a variety of one-of-a-kind experiences at the silent and live auction.

“We plan on creating a stylish and elegant atmosphere for our guests, while raising much needed funds for our residential hospice,” said Rachel Schwarz, gala committee chair.

Adding to the excitement of the evening will be the chance to win a 0.50-carat Round Brilliant Cut Canadian Diamond compliments of Mitton’s Jewellers in Ridgetown.

Tickets are $125 per person with a $75 tax receipt and are available online at www.ckhospicegala.com, at Chatham-Kent Hospice at 34 Wellington St E, Chatham, or by calling 519-354-3113 ext. #2404.

The Chatham-Kent Hospice is a 10-bed residential facility that offers care for residents facing end of life and support for their family.
