Chatham-Kent OPP say a driver had to be taken to hospital after their car slammed into a deer on Highway 401 last night.
Police say the crash occurred about 9 p.m. in the eastbound lanes near Orford Road.
The Toyota Corolla suffered extensive damage and had to be towed from the highway.
The driver suffered minor injuries.
