Two nabbed for stunt driving

Two drivers in Chatham-Kent were nabbed for stunt driving in separate incidents yesterday.

Just before 2:00 p.m., an officer on general patrol observed a man driving a car at a high rate of speed on Winterline Road in Dover Township.  The officer recorded the man travelling 167 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.

The 21-year-old Chatham man was charged with stunt driving.  His license was suspended for seven days and his friend’s mom’s car was impounded for seven days as per the Vehicle Impoundment Program.  He will be required to attend court on June 22.

And then last night, shortly after 8:00 p.m., an officer on general patrol saw a woman driving her car at a high rate of speed northbound on Erieau Road.  The officer recorded the woman travelling 110 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone.

The 22-year-old Chatham woman was charged with stunt driving.  Her license was suspended for seven days and her vehicle was impounded for seven days as per the Vehicle Impoundment Program.

  1. Those silly ole Munchkins why would anyone want to go that speed down the yellow brick road… a date with the wicked ole witch he got ..lion's and tiger's and a hefty ticket oh my!!!!!
