A Chatham man was not only knocked down by a vehicle last night, but he’s facing charges for having done so.
Shortly after 7:00 p.m., emergency crews responded to a collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian at the intersection of Lacroix Street and Richmond Street.
A pedestrian was crossing Lacroix Street when he was struck by a vehicle. He was taken to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with non-life-threatening injuries and later transferred to Windsor for further medical treatment.
The 64-year-old driver of the vehicle was not physically injured.
Total damage was estimated at $2000.
The pedestrian was charged with disobeying the ‘don’t walk’ signal.
