Three charged in drug bust

Three Chatham men face a variety of drug related charges following an early morning raid on a Murray Street residence in Chatham.

Members of the Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Section, Critical Incident Response Team and K9 Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant and located fentanyl, hydromorphone, methamphetamine, bear mace, insecure ammunition, materials used to fraudulently make fentanyl patches and a quantity of cash.

The three men were arrested and all charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking fentanyl,  possession for the purposes of trafficking hydromorphone, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a prohibited weapon, careless storage of ammunition and fraud. They each face additional charges. 

A 47-year-old Chatham man was also charged with 5 counts of failing to comply with his release conditions.

The 58-year-old Chatham man was also charged with 3 counts of breaching his Prohibition Order.

The 38-year-old Chatham man was also charged with failing to comply with his release conditions.

 All three men have been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
