Chatham-Kent police scooped up a two women wanted on outstanding warrants yesterday.

In the first instance, a 19-year-old woman turned herself in at police headquarters about 9 a.m. Monday.

She was wanted in connection with a Jan. 13 incident where she was charged with being a party to an offence. Police say she failed to show up for her court date earlier this month, and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

The second woman wasn’t as easy to locate. Police say on Jan. 19, the woman was released from custody with several conditions, including reporting to police between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. every Friday. She failed to check in on three straight Fridays in March and the warrant for her arrest was issued.

Shortly after 10 p.m., an officer found the 24-year-old woman and she was arrested.
