Police now believe the cyclist found lying on the side of Park Avenue East yesterday morning was hit by a vehicle.

The incident occurred about 6 a.m. The 52-year-old victim was clipped by a vehicle and was discovered lying on the gravel roadway.

He was taken to Chatham hospital and then transferred to a Windsor hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
