Chatham-Kent police are seeking the public’s help to piece together what happened early Saturday morning on Park Street in Chatham.

Police are investigating a suspicious car fire that occurred about 2:45 a.m. Emergency crews arrived on scene to find a silver Chrysler 300 engulfed in flames.

Damage is estimated at $10,000.

Police would like to speak with anyone who saw anything out of the ordinary on that street around that time on Jan. 11. Anyone with information is asked to contact Const. Aaron Medenblik of the Major Crimes Unit at 519-436-6618.  Anonymous callers may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and may be eligible for a cash reward.

Another media outlet reported the car was firebombed, but police are only calling it suspicious.
