Smith and Wilson Estate Wines is hosting Christmas at the Winery on Nov. 7 in support of the United Way of Chatham-Kent.

Local vendors will be at the Cedar Springs winery from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with hand-made and unique items.

The evening features live music by local guitarist Tom Lockwood, door prizes supplied by participating vendors and light holiday refreshments from Brownie’s Catering.

A cash wine bar will feature Smith and Wilson Estate wines, giving patrons a chance to sample some of their favourites.

Vendors include art photographs by Val and Bob West, original paintings by Tom Fenton, gourmet wine preserves from Mrs. Pickle, body scrubs, butters and soaks from Rural Roots Scrubs, Flickerbee beeswax products, organic food and baskets from River Bell Market Gardens, specialty teas and tea-making products from Steeped Teas, confections by Heavenlee, unique neckwear from VADa by Pri, candles, soaps and body products by Pretty Little Bath and Body Co., as well as greeting cards and home décor items.

Hand-crafted jewellery from New Hope Creations, Ecobling, Jessi Retro Jewellery and Joyce Bacic Originals will also be on display.

Stan Uher will be on hand with his new book on the Gray Dort, The Chatham Car Story, and his DVD documentary, Lorne: Journey of a Vintage Fire Engine plus the Historical Society of Blenheim calendar, Scenes from the Past.

Tickets for the event are $10 and are available at the United Way office and DeKoko’s Café in Chatham, Smith and Wilson Estate Wines near Cedar Springs, The Little Change Room in Blenheim and at Mitton’s Jewellers in Ridgetown.
