The Chatham-Kent major peewees opened their hockey season with a tie and a loss recently.

On Sept. 7, in Chatham, the squad played Kitchener to a 4-4 draw, after trailing 3-0 early.

Calum O’Hara, Bailey Smith, Aidan Lachine and Nolan Bernier scored for Chatham. Connor Wright had two assists.

Two days later, Chatham-Kent lost to Sun County 7-3.

Lachine scored twice, while Cole Mackinnon had the other Chatham-Kent tally.
