The Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent’s most recent fundraising campaing received its first donation Sept. 5.

The foundation picked up a cheque for $477 from Harvey’s, the proceeds from Community Day, where Harvey’s donated $1 from every combo purchased at its Chatham location to the foundation.

“We felt it was time to thank Chatham-Kent for supporting our business over the years,” said Chatham’s Harvey’s owner Peter Nassiokas in a press release. “Since working closely with the Children’s Treatment Centre at the Festival of Giving, which is an amazing event that supports many of the needs of the community, they have stuck in our mind as a great organization.”

“It is absolutely amazing to have Harvey’s support our ‘CK Kids Can’t Wait-Urgent Needs Campaign,’” said Candice Jeffrey, communications and fundraising co-ordinator for the foundation. “Harvey’s has been a part of the Chatham-Kent community for years and this generous initiative will help children and families from across the municipality.”
