A Chatham man faces charges after police had to close off Queens Line Tuesday evening for public safety reasons.
The call came in shortly after 6 p.m. of a report of a man in possession of a firearm at a trailer on Queens Line.
Police contained the scene, secured the area and remained in communication with the suspect.
A short time later, police entered the trailer and located the individual, who was unresponsive. He was transported to the hospital for medical assessment. No injuries were reported in this incident to officers or to the public.
A 78-year-old Chatham man is charged with two counts of pointing a firearm, and two of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
