Ramming speed?

A Chatham man faces charges after police say he drove at another man and later threatened him with an object.

It all took place on Saturday afternoon at an unnamed address, on an unnamed street in Chatham, police didn’t say.

Police were called about 2:15 p.m. to this shrouded address. A man intentionally drove at another man, who was standing in a driveway, police say. The vehicle narrowly missed the 34-year-old male victim before fleeing the scene.

However, police say the suspect later returned and tried to enter the residence. That’s when a scuffle broke out. The suspect “grabbed an object and raised it in a threatening manner towards the victim,” police say. He fled before officers arrived.

He was later located and arrested.

A Chatham man, 40, is charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, assault and assault with a weapon.
