Pedestrian struck in Chatham

A Chatham man if recovering in a Windsor hospital after being struck by a vehicle Thursday evening.

Police say the mishap took place shortly before 8 p.m. on Grand Avenue West near Woods Street in Chatham.

The pedestrian, a 47-year-old Chatham-Kent man, was taken to hospital here, where his injuries were determined to be life-threatening. He was subsequently air-lifted by Ornge Air Ambulance to a Windsor hospital for further medical treatment.
