They’re people, not pucks
On Friday evening, Chatham-Kent police responded to a residence on Florence Street in Chatham in regard to an altercation involving three people and a hockey stick.
Through investigation, it was determined that a male at the residence had assaulted two other people with the hockey stick, police say.
A 43-year-old man was arrested for aggravated assault.
Home damaged in Erieau
Chatham-Kent police are looking for tips into a recent break-in at a home in Erieau.
Police got the call on the weekend to a home on Mariners Road. Sometime over the past seven days, someone caused “significant damage” throughout the residence, police say, and it is unknown at this time if anything was taken.
There are currently no suspects and the investigation is ongoing.

B&E arrest near Chatham
A man faces charges following a break-in over the weekend on Queen’s Line near Chatham.
Police were called to the business Saturday night, and officers found a man inside a compound on the property.
A 40-year old man is charged with break and enter with intent to commit theft.
Confidential info stolen; woman arrested
A woman has to answer to theft charges after it was reported someone had stolen confidential documents from a Blenheim business recently.
Through investigation it was found that a woman had taken the documents from the business, police say.
A 27-year old woman was located and arrested for theft and possession of stolen property.
Security system, collector cards stolen
Police hope the public can help them solve a recent crime in Wallaceburg.
Sometime between March 24 and March 28, someone broke into a store on James Street and made off with several Pokémon cards, as well as the business’s security system.
There are currently no suspects and the investigation is ongoing.
