Weaver earns 4th term with OAPSB

Pat Weaver, the veteran chair of the Chatham-Kent Police Service Board has been re-elected to a fourth term as chair of the Ontario Association of Police Services Boards.

According to a media release from the Chatham-Kent Police Service, Weaver has “demonstrated exceptional leadership in promoting excellence in policing across Ontario.

“His dedication and commitment to the role have been evident in his tireless efforts to ensure that our police services accountable, effective and responsive to the needs of our communities,” the release said.

The association is the leading voice in police governance for the province.

Lisa Darling, Executive Director of the OAPSB, said the organization is happy to see Weaver return.

“We are thrilled to see Patrick Weaver continue his remarkable leadership journey as chair of the board. His unwavering commitment to improving the education and training for OAPSB members and fostering community trust has had a profound impact on our organization and the communities we serve,” she said in the media release. “We look forward to his continued guidance and support as we strive to enhance public safety across Ontario.”
