Assaulting an officer
On Saturday afternoon, Chatham-Kent police responded to a call on Wellington Street in Chatham.
Police say a woman stopped her car to assault a 71-year-old woman walking her dog. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
As the 40-year-old woman was being arrested, police say she kicked an officer.
She was charged with assault and assault of an officer.
Assault
On Saturday night, Chatham-Kent police were called about a domestic disturbance in Wallaceburg.
Police learned that during an argument, a man assaulted his common-law.
A 36-year-old man was arrested and charged with two counts of assault.
Mischief
Early Sunday morning, police were called for a family dispute.
Apparently, a man snuck into his mother’s home to damage her lights.
A 26-year-old man was arrested and charged with mischief.
