Chatham-Kent police say a vehicle struck a tree on Paincourt Line Saturday morning. Emergency crews arrived shortly after 8 a.m.
An eastbound vehicle left the roadway and hit the tree on the north side of the road. The driver, an 18-year-old Dover Township woman, was taken to hospital with serious injuries and later taken to Windsor Regional Hospital where she succumbed to those injuries.
Out of respect for the family, the name of the woman is not being released at this time.
