Man hits woman with his car

Around 4 a.m. this morning, Chatham-Kent police responded to a disturbance on Park Avenue West in Chatham.

Through investigation, police learned that an argument between a man and woman, resulted in the man hitting the woman with his car.

The woman was transported via ambulance to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for medical attention.

A 22-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm. He remains in police custody this morning.

The season of anger

Last night, Chatham-Kent police responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Chatham as the man threatened his ex-girlfriend during a verbal argument.

Through investigation, police learned that this was not the first incident of domestic violence between the pair.

A 51-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with two counts of uttering threats. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Suspended driver

Yesterday afternoon, a member of the Traffic Unit observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Countryview Line between Prince Albert Road and Caledonia Road.

A traffic stop was initiated, and through investigation, the officer learned that the woman was suspended from driving for unpaid fines.

A 28-year-old Windsor woman was charged with speeding and driving while under suspension.
