B&E, drug charges
Yesterday morning, Chatham-Kent police responded to a break and enter at a residence on Lagoon Road.
Through investigation, police identified the man responsible and he was taken into custody a short distance away.
Upon being searched incident to arrest, the man was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine, crack cocaine, mini scales, cell phones and a debit card belonging to someone else.
A 28-year-old Chatham man has been charged with break and enter, mischief under $5,000, possession for the purposes of trafficking and failing to comply with his release conditions as he was currently bound by a condition not to possess any bank cards unless in his name. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Curfew breach
Last April, a man was released from Court with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was to obey a daily curfew of 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Just before 11 p.m. last night, an officer on general patrol observed the man driving his truck on McNaughton Avenue East in Chatham.
A traffic stop was initiated and the man was arrested.
A 48-year-old Chatham was charged with failing to comply with his release conditions. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Warrants
Late yesterday afternoon, police located a woman who was wanted for failing to comply with conditions of her Probation Order.
A 27-year-old Wallaceburg woman was arrested and released with a future court date.
