Enter those doors to see what’s behind them.
That’s the message, and opportunity for Doors Open Chatham-Kent.
On Saturday, residents are invited to explore unique places across the municipality with free admission and special behind-the-scenes access not usually available to the public.
Included are 13 sites across the municipality, such as ARTspace, Buxton National Historic Site, The Black Mecca Museum, Bothwell Town Hall, the Capitol Theatre, Chatham-Kent Museum, Dresden’s Glenlochie Lodge, the Josiah Henson Museum of African-Canadian History, Red Barn Brewing, SheepDog Animation just outside Rondeau, Sycamore Woods near Wallaceburg, the Thames Art Gallery, and the Thamesville Old Town Museum.
Doors Open Chatham-Kent is an initiative through Doors Open Ontario, a province-wide initiative that aims to get locals out and exploring their communities.
