C-K sees 5th COVID death, total cases surpass 1,000

Chatham-Kent saw another individual pass away from COVID-19 over the weekend, bringing the death toll to five.

This is the second death in less than a week, prior to that there has not been one since Oct. 3.

The cumulative COVID-19 case surpassed 1,000 over the weekend according to CK Public Health’s latest data.

In the last three days Chatham-Kent saw a total of 46 new COVID-19 cases and 56 recoveries, bringing the active total down to 104 cases. The cumulative total now sits at 1017.

There was also a tenth active workplace outbreak declared as two institutional and two congregate living outbreaks also remain active.
