Chatham-Kent Public Health reported 19 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday afternoon.
The active total has reached 84 cases as six individuals have also recovered in the past 24 hours.
Cumulatively, Chatham-Kent has seen 686 since the onset of the pandemic.
This is the highest number of active cases the municipality has seen at once that is not related to a single outbreak. During the spring, there were more than 100 active cases at a time, however, they could all be traced to the workers at Greenhill Produce.
Six of the currently active cases are related to three separate workplace outbreaks.
The outbreaks at Cooper Terrace and Riverview Gardens remain in effect. Each of those two long-term care homes only has one case associated with it.
