The U19 Chatham Thunder ringette squad fell in the semi-finals on the weekend at the London Lynx ringette tournament.
The local side, sponsored by Maple City Electric, opened the tourney with a 9-3 win over Waterloo.
Kara Hueniken led the way with four goals, while Hanna Doforno and Kayla Therrien had two each and Courtney Roberts chipped in a single.
The Thunder next topped Burlington 4-3. Roberts, Therrien, Doforno and Hueniken all had solo markers.
In their third game, the Chathamites doubled up Ajax 8-4. Doforno had the hat trick, while Tristen Stewart had a pair, and Nicole Hook, Kelsey Zondag and Therrien also scored.
Doforno and Hueniken had the only goals in Chatham’s next match, a 2-1 win over Seaforth.
That sent Chatham into the semi-finals, against hometown London. The Thunder went silent, falling 4-0.
