$100 in stolen goods, $20K damage
Sometime Wednesday night, someone forced their way into a fenced compound at Entegrus on Queen Street. Once inside, the suspect(s) removed about $100 in copper from three hydro pole switches, causing about $20,000 damage.

Family dispute leads to charges
Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a family dispute at a residence in Orford Township.
While officers were on scene, police say the youth threatened her mother.
A 14-year-old girl was arrested and charged with uttering threats. She was released pending a future court date.
Electronics stolen
Early this morning, someone entered a motel room in Chatham and stole a Lenovo laptop, iPhone XR, personal identification and bankcard.
Total value of the theft has been estimated at $4,000.

Eyeballing a thief
Earlier this month, a man booked an eye exam at a local eyewear store in Chatham under a false name.
While employees assisted other customers, the man stole two pairs of Ray-Ban glasses and one pair of Versace glasses.
The man fled the store before his appointment.
Total value of the theft was estimated at $850.
With the assistance of video surveillance, police identified the man.
Last night, police located the man and he was arrested.
Dakotah Stadnick, 24, of Chatham, is charged with theft under $5,000 and being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000. He was released pending a future court date.
Fender benders
Yesterday morning, police responded to a two-vehicle collision on Lacroix Street near Tweedsmuir Avenue in Chatham.
No one was injured.
Total damage was estimated at $20,000.
A 66-year-old Chatham man was charged with failing to stop at a red light.

Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a single-motor-vehicle collision on Scane Road near Fysh Line involving a motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 24-year-old man, was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Total damage was estimated at $8,000.
